Location. Las Palmas Hotel & Suites is located in Sunrise, Fla., just five miles from Sawgrass Mills. Downtown Fort Lauderdale is 14 miles from the property.
Hotel Features. The Sunrise Café serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Specialties include oriental orange-glazed king salmon and Maine lobster ravioli. Meeting space is available, with eight business rooms, an executive conference room and numerous conference suites. A 24-hour business center offers complimentary wireless Internet access. Towering palm trees surround an outdoor heated pool.
Guestrooms. Guestrooms are outfitted in colorful bedspreads and pale wood furnishings. Rooms offer coffeemakers, cable television and wireless Internet access. Suites feature sleeper sofas, microwave ovens and a separate parlor area.
Expert Tip. The Las Palmas Hotel & Suites serves daily in-room snacks, along with cookies and punch in the lobby.
Renovation Notice:
The hotel is currently undergoing renovations to public areas, including the gift shop, business center and fitness facility. During this time, these amenities will be unavailable. However, the hotel personnel can assist with some computer needs and complimentary passes to Gold's Gym are available. The estimated completion date is October 31, 2007. This date is subject to change.
Restaurant Closure Notice:
Effective July 14, 2007, the hotel's restaurant is closed for renovations. During this time, the hotel offers a daily complimentary continental breakfast. A full menu is still available for lunch and dinner served in the Sunrise Lounge. Room service is available for dinner only from 5 to 10 p.m. There is no estimated date of completion available.

Take the Florida Turnpike South and exit Commerical Boulevard.
Go West to University Drive and turn left.
From Ft. Lauderdale Airport:
Take I-595 West from the airport, exit at University Drive (exit 6).
Turn right on University Drive.
The hotel is located five miles ahead on the left. From Palm Beach International Airport:
Take the Florida Turnpike South.
Exit on Commercial Blvd, West to University Drive.
Left on University Drive.
The hotel is on the West side of the street.
