Location. The Sandpiper Hotel and Suites is located on the beach in St. Pete Beach, Fla. Less than 10 miles from the property are casinos and charter excursions for fishing and sailing. The Pier, which features shops, restaurants and an aquarium, is 10 miles away.
Hotel Features. This resort is spread across five acres, and offers a casual beachfront restaurant and a lounge with seasonal live entertainment. Indoor and outdoor meeting spaces are available for a fee, and wireless Internet access is included in the nightly resort fee. The resort's courtyard features two heated pools and an adults-only spa tub. Hammocks and wooden swings are positioned amongst the beachfront pines. Private cabanas are spread out across the beachfront. Babysitting services are provided for a fee with 24-hour advance reservations. A gift shop is available on site.
Guestrooms. Guestrooms and suites at Sandpiper Hotel and Suites, renovated in 2006, feature crown molding, granite countertops and tropical artwork. Guestrooms offer wet bars with mini fridges, sinks, coffeemakers, toasters and dishware. Suites include kitchenettes with full-size refrigerators, toasters, sinks, cookware and place settings for four.
Expert Tip. This resort offers a variety of recreational activities focused on team-building, including Beach Olympics, tennis tournaments, glow-in-the-dark volleyball and scavenger hunts.
