Visitors today find echoes of St. Augustine's colorful past in the tranquil ambiance of the St. Francis Inn's enclosed courtyard, at the entrance to the reception room. A fountained pond, fed from an artesian well at St. Augustine's historic "Oldest House", is surrounded by lush banana trees, bougainvillea and other tropical flowers. The quaint nooks and crannies of the eclectic interior create a cozy, homey feeling in the comfortable common areas. From the reception room through the hallway arch, guests help themselves to iced tea, inn-blend coffee and water. From the upstairs hall, all guests may venture through the house to the upstairs balcony to view the historical scenery of St.Augustine. The outdoor pool provides a place to relax. In addition, each evening the hosts a social with complimentary beverages and appetizers.
Each room or suite at St. Francis Inn is unique. All have private baths, antique or reproduction furniture, central heat and air-conditioning, telephones, color cable TV, and a radio alarm clock with CD player. Many of the rooms also feature refrigerators. Premium rooms feature two spacious second floor rooms overlooking St. Francis a kitchenette, a queen size bed and a Jacuzzi tub.
