The Sands Harbor Resort & Marina faces the yacht-filled marina and the endless boat parade on the Intracoastal Watersay, Pompano Beach, Fla. The marina on site offers yacht charters, boat rentals, deep-sea fishing charters, and glass bottom boat, scuba dive and snorkel boat charters. The resort is located on five acres, and is just one block from the warm waters of the Atlantic Ocean. Hundreds of shops and restaurants surround the hotel and marina.
This South Florida landmark has been in business for over 50 years - one of the first enterprises in Pompano Beach, with a fascinating history. Guests can unwind by the pool and watch the boats go by, or relax in the poolside Patio Bar with one of their famous frozen cocktails. On weekends, there is live entertainment in the bar. Joe's Riverside Grille provides a more upscale atmosphere with equally stunning views of the waterway. Joe's specializes in superb fresh seafood. The Upper Deck restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Menu items have an international flair. From Fort Lauderdale Hollywood International Airport:
Go southwest on Terminal Drive.
Merge onto North Federal Highway (US-1) toward Dania Beach/Hollywood.
Turn slight right onto Griffin Road/FL-818 W and continue for 1.3 miles.
Merge onto I-95 North toward West Palm Beach and continue for 11.7 miles.
Take the Atlantic Boulevard exit (Exit 36).
Take the East Atlantic Boulevard ramp.
Continue east to the Intracoastal Waterway bridge.
Continue over the bridge.
Turn left onto North Riverside Drive.
Sands Harbor Resort & Marina is located one block in on the left-hand side on the water.
