Location. Tucked away on a secluded stretch of unspoiled Atlantic coast, 30 miles north of Daytona Beach, Ginn Hammock Beach Resort is a true oceanfront paradise. Hundreds of acres of preserved land, miles of recreational trails and the opportunity to navigate local waters via kayak are just a few of the many activities available from dawn to dusk.
Hotel Features. Warmth and comfort exude from the rich dark wood and floral prints of the regal lobby. Cascading fountains, fresh flowers and comfortable furniture invoke tranquility and promote relaxation. A bi-level water pavilion plays host to five pools with poolside service, a 65-foot slide, 30-foot waterfalls, two zero-entry splash pools, several large jetted tubs, a pool bar and a separate children's pool. A 300-yard lazy river meanders about the area with islands of tropical flora and fountains placed randomly throughout. The fitness center has scheduled classes and professional trainers offering everything from tai chi to Pilates. The spa features heated massage tables and an aromatherapy sauna along with a variety of treatments. Several food and drink venues are located on-site, including a sushi bar and a cigar bar with a walk-in humidor.
Guestrooms. Ginn Hammock Beach Resort features villas and condo-style suites, each with one- to four-bedrooms. All of the condo units feature furnished balconies with golf course or ocean views. Kitchenettes allow for in-room dining and boast granite countertops. Each unit has cable television with a DVD player and video-game console. Other amenities include complimentary wireless Internet access and CD stereos.
Expert Tip. Adjacent to the resort is The Jack Nicklaus Signature Ocean Hammock golf course with holes overlooking the Atlantic and fairways that wind through unadulterated wetlands and shimmering lakes. The Tom Watson designed course, The Conservatory at Hammock Beach, is also nearby and boasts a par 3 island green complete with a waterfall.
