Location. The Coombs House Inn is located in Apalachicola's (Fla.) historical district where the Apalachicola River and Apalachicola Bay converge. The historical district features Victorian homes dating back to the 1830s along magnolia-lined streets. The Inn is convenient to fishing, boating and the beaches of St. George Island and Cape San Blas. Hotel Features. This romantic bed and breakfast consists of the Main House, an elegant three-story Victorian mansion and the East House. The wide front door of the Main House welcomes guests into the lofty wood-paneled entrance hall, where an ornate oak staircase curves upward past leaded glass windows. There are 13 decorative original fireplaces. English chintz draperies frame large bay windows, and oriental carpets splash color on gleaming hardwood floors Complimentary beach chairs, umbrellas and towels are available for trips to the nearby beaches, and guests may use complimentary bicycles. The upper and lower verandas feature rocking chairs and porch swings to relax in. Each morning, the Inn offers a gourmet buffet breakfast. Other amenities include banquet facilities, ballroom, business services, audio-visual equipment, conference room, event catering and concierge services. Complimentary wireless Internet access is available in the Main House. Guestrooms. Each guestroom has either a king or queen bed with European bedding. All of the rooms are uniquely decorated with elegant Old World charm. Bathrobes, ceiling fans, desks and designer toiletries are provided in each room. Expert Tip. Built in 1905, the Coombs House Inn's original owners are buried across the street in the Chestnut Street Cemetery. Only one extra person over the maximum occupancy of two is allowed per room. Driving Information

80 Sixth Street, Apalachicola, Fla. From the Tallahassee Regional Airport: Exit the airport and turn right on Capital Circle. Continue four miles and turn right on US-319 (Crawfordville Rd). After about 35 miles (10 miles after Sopchoppy), the road merges with US-98 and run together. Take US-319/US-98 through Eastpoint and across the bay on Gorrie Bridge five miles to Apalachicola. Go through the town and turn left at the flashing yellow light, staying on US-98. Continue three blocks to the property, located on the left.
